Project on information graphics.

The information is based on primary data, that is, data gathered first-hand by us.  The data is drawn from observable phenomena and interactions within the coffee shops in Sengkang.

Hypothesis:
Coffee shops are more than a food establishment for Singaporeans, instead it has become
a social space, especially among older Singaporeans and families.
Using Sound within coffee shops as a measure of social activity.

Steps:
1. Went to Coffee shops nearest to the LRT

2. Categorise common noises in coffee shops (Natural, rhythmic, man-made, voices, spontaneous)

3. We went at different timings (8am, 12pm, 7pm & 11pm)

4. Our unit of measurement is by using the volume button from 0-16 based on our phones

5. Start playing the recording of LRT hums at 0 volume, and increase bar by bar until the identifies noise (by category) cannot be heard

6. Record down the number of bars it took.
